Russia Guided Tour

Please join us in Russia during the summer of 2012 for an exciting program that will include St. Petersburg, Moscow, The Golden Ring, and Sochi (the Russian Riviera on the Black Sea and site of the 2014 Olympics). This Russia tour will feature a variety of historical and cultural sites with tours in Russia's most famous cities. There will be sightseeing tours to small town Russia in the Golden Ring towns of Suzdal and Vladamir. Lastly, there will opportunities for relaxation and adventure in Sochi where you can indulge in spa treatments, participate in activities in the Caucasus mountains, sail on the Black Sea, and more! We welcome all travelers including our singles travel customers to join this amazing adventure!

Itinerary

Russia: St Petersburg, Moscow, and Sochi- July 20th - 31st, 2012

Day 0 Thursday July 19th  DEPART FOR ST PETERSBURG, RUSSIA.

OPTIONAL GROUP AIR PACKAGE:  Fly overnight to Russia on LOT Airlines from Chicago.

Day 1 July 20 ST PETERSBURG

Arrival in St Petersburg, transfer to hotel.
The rest of the afternoon and evening is at your leisure
Overnight at Hotel “Nevsky Grand” or similar

Day 2 July 21 ST PETERSBURG (B, D)

08.00 Buffet breakfast at hotel.
In the morning we will have a city tour of St Petersburg including the Peter and Paul Fortress and visit St. Isaac Cathedral . Lunch stop.
In the afternoon we will visit the world famous Hermitage museum, after we will take a canal cruise down St Petersburg’s famous waterways.
Back to the hotel by 18.00
19.00 Dinner at hotel

Day 3 July 22 ST PETERSBURG (B, D)

08.00 Buffet breakfast
In the morning we will take an excursion out of town to visit the Peterhoff (park and palace) Lunch stop
In the afternoon we take another excursion to visit Pushkin (park and palace)
Return to hotel by 18.00
19.00 Dinner at hotel
Overnight at hotel “Nevsky Grand” or similar

Day 4 July 23 ST PETERSBURG- SOCHI (B)

08.00 Buffet breakfast. Morning at leisure. Check out of hotel
Transfer to airport with guide. Flight from St. Petersburg to Sochi flight SU4381 at 13:25. Arrive Sochi and transfer to hotel.
Rest of day at leisure in Sochi to enjoy the beach and resort complex.
Overnight at Hotel “Zhemchuzhina” or similar

Day 5 July 24 SOCHI (B)
Breakfast at hotel.

These next two days are open free days to enjoy the Black Sea Coast and Beaches that Sochi, referred to as the Russian Riviera, offers. In addition, Sochi has been named the host for the 2014 Winter Olympics for its proximity to the Caucasus Mountains. There are mountain activities and adventure sports within 30 minutes of the town center. This makes Sochi the most popular summer destination in Russia for Russian people. The region has many spa facilities, beach resorts, mountain lodges, adventure sports, and great restaurants and nightlife. Something for everyone!

Day at leisure. Lunch and dinner on your own.

3.Excursion to Krasnaya Polyana- The mountain resort complex that will host the alpine events in the Winter Games of 2014. Options include- Going for hike, dining on top of a mountain

Day 7 July 26 SOCHI- MOSCOW  (B, D)

Box Breakfast. Early transfer to aiport.  
Transfer from Moscow airport to guided tours with English-speaking local guide.  
Flight SU 1120 from Sochi to Moscow . Arrive appox 08:30. This morning will we proceed on a city tour that includes- Red Square, Sparrow Hills, and Victory park. Transfer to hotel for check in.  Please note: Check in Moscow is available anytime after 14.00
Rest of afternoon/evening is at leisure in Moscow. Shopping, theater, other excursions are options.
20.00 Dinner at Hotel

Day 8 July 27 MOSCOW- SUZDAL (B, D)

09.00 Buffet breakfast. Check out of hotel.
10.00 Today we will head out of Moscow to experience historic small town Russia. Transfer to Sergiev Posad, and visit the town and the famous Trinity Monastery. Lunch stop. Afterwards transfer to the town of Suzdal.
20.00 Dinner at local restaurant
Overnight at hotel “Sokol” or similar

Day 9 July 28 SUZDAL-MOSCOW (B, D)

08.00 Continental breakfast. Check out of hotel.
09.00 This morning we will have a City tour of the most famous town in the Golden Ring- Suzdal.  Visit the Suzdal Kremlin, St. Ehimius monastery, and famous Museum of Wooden Architecture. Lunch stop
In the afternoon transfer to another beautiful Golden Ring town- Vladimir, for a city tour and visit to Assumption Cathedral
Afterwards- Transfer to Moscow
20.00 Dinner at local restaurant
Take a tour of the famous Moscow Metro and then transfer to the hotel.

Day 10 Jul 29 MOSCOW (B, D)
08.00 Buffet breakfast
09.00 AM: We will proceed on tours to the Kremlin, and 3 famous Moscow Cathedrals. Return to hotel in afternoon, rest of day/evening at leisure

Day 11 July 30 MOSCOW (B)
08:00 Buffet breakfast
Entire day at leisure to explore Moscow. Shopping, theater, other excursions are options.
