Itinerary
DAY 01 3/20
Arrive on your intl flight and transfer from the International Airport to the Hotel in San Jose
We will make special arrangements to have a representative in the entry of the airport. Outside the arrivals area, look for our representative who will be holding a sign with your last name on it. Our driver will provide assistance with luggage and private transportation to the hotel in San Jose.

DAY 02 3/21 SAN JOSE / ARENAL (B/L)

04 in 01 Tour description: To begin this recommended tour, we take the Pan-American road to Alajuela.
Here we go to the Agricultural Monument, the monument to Juan Santa Maria. We also are going to visit the Mango Park.
Later we will stop for the first time at the famous Doka State. We are going to visit the beautiful coffee plantation, the mill and the roast room.
As we continue to climb the Poas Volcano we get to the coffee plantations, flower and fern nurseries and strawberry fields. This will prepare us for the pleasure of the exuberant cloud forest in Poas volcano, where we will have time to enjoy the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles. We continue our trip on the Caribbean slope, stopping to discover La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a natural park where we will walk in spectacular trails that take us to White Magic Waterfall, the most spectacular thing in the area. Inside the park we will also visit the largest butterfly observatory in the country, home to a collection of tropical jewels and the impressive hummingbird gallery. A buffet style lunch is included here.
After lunch we will continue on the Atlantic slope and once we arrive at Puerto Viejo we will be ready for a relaxing on a boat trip down the Sarapiqui River.
The tour includes breakfast, coffee plantation visit, craters and trails in Poas Volcano National Park. The entrance to La Paz Waterfall Gardens, including Butterfly, Hummingbird Gallery and waterfall trails. Buffet lunch, boat trip on the Sarapiqui River with soft drinks on-board and drive throw Braulio Carrillo National Park.

Arenal Volcano & Tabacon Grand Spa & Resort Visit
Tour description: The Arenal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in America. From our point of view we think that this experience is unforgettable because of the amazing and surprising things like feeling the tremble ground and seeing the nightly sky exploded with ash and lava in a natural firework. Next, we will visit the hot springs of the volcano in Tabacon Grand Spa & Resort, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air, while observing the stars and the incredible sky above the volcano. When you arrive, we will receive you with a splendid dinner.
On this tour we will also visit the town of Sarchí, well known for the beauty of the handcrafts they produce. (Dinner included in Tabacon area).

White Water Rafting on Naranjo River
Tour description: The wild and ever-changing Naranjo River White Water Rafting challenge is recommended for physically fit adventure seekers and experienced rafters who are familiar with Class III and IV rapids. Damas Island Kayaking: Spend a few luxuriously indulgent hours paddling with the currents as your highly trained, bilingual naturalist guides reveal the protected inland waterways of the Damas Estuary and mangrove habitat. Explore an unforgettable plethora of flora and fauna as you learn about, experience, and participate in our magical Costa Rican mangrove and tropical rain forest ecosystem -- but don’t forget your camera.
Snorkeling / Coastal Kayaking: The adventure begins near the developing Pez Vela (Sail Fish) Marina in Quepos and winds along the Manuel Antonio coastline. Indulge yourselves at a rare jewel of a beach - a hidden Manuel Antonio treasure at Biezans Bay - for a refreshing swim and delicious local snacks. And feel free to have your bilingual naturalist guide direct you to the best snorkeling spots as you experience three small but growing, active, and astounding coral reef systems nestled very close to the shore of Biezans Bay.
